Telegram
Lets you message Claude Code from Telegram.
Why use Telegram?
Claude Code runs in a terminal on one machine, so ordinarily you have to be sitting at that machine. This connects a Telegram bot to your session. You message the bot, the message reaches Claude Code, and the answer comes back into the chat. It can reply, react and edit messages the way any other participant would. Access control comes built in: you pair the bot to yourself first, and there is a list of who is allowed to talk to it.
When should you use Telegram?
Starting something off, or checking on it, while away from your desk. Also good for long jobs where you would rather the result came to you than sit watching a terminal for it.
How do you install and use Telegram?
- Message BotFather on Telegram and send /newbot. It asks for a name and a handle, then hands you a token.
- Install the plugin, then run /telegram:configure with that token.
- Restart your session with the channel flag the setup describes. It needs Bun, a JavaScript runtime, installed first.
Paste into the Terminal app
claude plugin install telegram@claude-plugins-official
